The Little Atoms radio show launched on London's Resonance FM in 2005, in part as a response to the debate that followed the terrorist bombings in London. Ten years on, after a decade of interviews with some of the most interesting voices in politics, literature, science, art and comedy, Little Atoms is branching out with a new online publication dedicated to intelligent, accessible writing on everything from deism to design.

We are curious about the whole spectrum of ideas, and we know our listeners and readers are too. Our launch features articles on shamanism in the Ecuadorian rainforest, the perverse joys of subletting in New York, and the mechanisms of Syria’s war economy, among many others.

Our contributors include award-winning journalists, writers and comics, and between them have written for every publication you can think of.

Issue 2 of the award-winning Little Atoms magazine features new illustrations by Molly Crabapple, essays by Orwell-Prize winner Iona Craig and Turkish novelist Ece Temelkuran, as well as interviews with writers Francis Spufford, DJ Taylor and Juliet Jacques, and features on the hidden history of the Conservatives’ first ethnic minority MP, the mysterious world of epigenetics, and the curious tale of the World League for Sexual Reform.
