Jarry is a print magazine that explores where food and gay culture intersect. More than just a magazine, Jarry brings together a community of gay chefs, eaters, artisans, writers, photographers, artists, and industry influencers, and celebrates the art of gay domesticity.

This issue is full of queer perspectives on wellness, health, mind, and body and features our first women-identifiying subjects, the chef and restauranteur couple Elise Kornack, and Anna Hieronimus, shot by Cara Howe. You may recognize them from their acclaimed 12-seat Brooklyn restaurant Take Root, which they owned and operated—just the two of them—for four years. At what seemed to be their peak of success, they closed Take Root, rejecting that “success” because of the toll it took on their health and wellness. They share how they came to that decision and what they'll be doing as they move forward to open their next adventure.
