Introducing Issue Eight of Gear Patrol Magazine and a very special edition we couldn't be more excited to share with you.

In this issue, we've dedicated nearly every page to the GP100, our annual index of the best products of the year and a culmination of an entire year's worth of work to research, curate, vet and test the very best products for Gear Patrol readers. Our entire team of enthusiasts spends every day thinking about the intersection of products and life's pursuits and nothing represents that effort better than the GP100.

While this year marks our sixth iteration of the GP100, it's our first in print and the driving reason behind bringing to life a third issue for the year. Combining the enduringness of print and our desire to make an anthology of what products mattered most and stood out in 2018 just made sense.

Issue Eight features some unique aspects to it. Besides wall-to-wall products, fantastic design and typography, we've tuned this issue to be read over and over again. Flip to the middle, end or anywhere in between and you'll land on a color categorized section representing all the topics we cover at Gear Patrol including tech, audio, outdoors, fitness, motoring, watches, style, grooming, home and drinks.

We've also brought to life a new concept called The Standards, which showcases products that have risen to benchmark status. In an era where products are released at an unrelenting pace, all shiny and new, The Standards feel as fresh as ever. There's one for each of the 10 categories of the GP100—all beautifully illustrated by a standard himself, Joe McKendry.

Our cover also features a graphic we commissioned by the incredibly talented Brian Mark who represented, in an M.C. Escher-like fashion, the idea of an ongoing yet occasionally conflicting "100" that represents the difficulty of assembling any collection of "the 100 best".
