Isolation (by Rucksack Magazine)
The first issue in a series of shorter publications with a new format; ‘Isolation’ explores a term the world is now well acquainted with.
We showcase the beauty to be found in remote landscapes; raw, terrifying and magnificent somehow all at the same time. These landscapes inspire and enthral, but we understand that isolation is not always beautiful, and there is a whole lot more to be uncovered within its depths - solitude and seclusion, to name a few. We explore the contrast between the appeal of physical isolation with the lonely reality of internal separation. And we celebrate the fact that, whilst travel is on pause, our imaginations are not, and our stories will continue.
