The 89th issue of the Magazine B is 'Arc'teryx,' a climbing brand that starts with manufacturing specialized equipment for rock climbing and hiking and continues to offer looks that support high-intensity outdoor activities in almost all areas.
Arc'teryx started as Rock Solid, founded in 1989 by climber Dave Lane in Vancouver, Canada to make better climbing equipment based on his own experiences. The brand name, which was inspired by the scientific name of Archeopteryx Archeopteryx ‘Archiopteryx lithographica’ in 1991, is based on manufacturing and contains their attitude to take an evolutionary approach. Since introducing the Vapor Harness that evenly supports the impact load by applying an ergonomic system to the existing harness that acts as a seat belt during climbing, Arc'teryx has been releasing innovative products such as the Alpha SV Jacket that is lightweight and waterproof and windproof at the same time. We are raising the technology standard in the industry. In addition, by developing an urban techwear line with enhanced designs such as Valence and System_A, it is gaining great support not only from famous celebrities but also from the younger generation who enjoy subculture.
